Rosa Melendez was selected as the recipient for the first ever Death and Resurrection Doula program scholarship! This program will provide a foundational education and certification for those seeking to become Christian death doulas. It’s the only training of its kind - and Rosa will experience it thanks to a generous donor!

Here are a few excerpts from her scholarship application:

“When I heard about Inhora and helping people that are dying feel at home, becoming their family, it warmed my heart. A thought inside of my soul, in the deepest ends of my being said, ‘This place is for me.’
I am committed and dedicated to the best of my abilities to make that home a better place for the dying.”

“A lot of people might think that volunteering is such a wonderful work of charity and it’s so kind to help people that are in need - which indeed it is - but in all reality: being close to death is what makes me live a more honorable life.”
