First Volunteer Caregiver Training!
On 10/5, 21 diverse people gathered to learn. An oncology nurse and an engineer. A death doula and community advocate. Agnostics, practicers of Buddhism, Protestant Christians, and devout Catholics. We were united in love.
Sebrena Oliver, MSN helped us discover the irreplaceable need and practice of self-care. Lorraine Ansolver, MSN taught us practical methods of caregiving. David Robertson (end-of-life doula) walked us through the dying process, sharing personal stories of caring for the dying.
Inhora is powered by volunteers. When we open for guests in mid-November, it’s our compassionate and brave volunteer caregivers who will be be there for the dying around the clock.
We don’t expect anyone to be ready to provide care for the dying. We teach you how. One class isn’t enough, so we offer continuing education to keep us growing.
Whether at the bedside or behind the scenes, with Inhora you can be part of creating a better option for those facing death (click to learn more).
